Saad, 23, from Saudi Arabia – Student Success Story at Native English College Adelaide
Self-Introduction
Hi, my name is Saad. I am 23 years old and I come from Saudi Arabia. Moving to Adelaide to study has been an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with the lifestyle here, and it has completely changed the way I look at the world.
Why I Wanted to Study English
For me, English is the key to a successful future. It is the most important global language, and I knew that if I wanted to build an excellent life and succeed in my career, I needed to master it as a second language. My ultimate goal has always been to communicate with confidence and speak as fluently as a native speaker. This ambition is what pushed me to take the leap and start my journey as an international student in Australia.
Unlocking the English Language & My Daily Successes
When you are learning a new language, the small victories feel the absolute best. One of my favorite moments is when I successfully translate a thought from Arabic to English and realize I used the exact word a native speaker would use.
For example, learning how to use versatile words properly—like using “have” for different contexts like “I have a car,” “I have breakfast,” and “I have to go”—made me feel incredibly proud. Even when I make mistakes, I don’t let it stop me. I believe that you just have to do your best and keep going!
How I Use English Every Day in Adelaide
I make sure to practice my English constantly in real-life situations. Every day, I talk with my homestay family, which has been one of the most helpful parts of my entire experience. They support me and make me feel at home. I also use English daily to talk with my classmates at school and to order my favorite food and drinks at local cafés and restaurants.
What I Love About Adelaide
I love everything about this city! Adelaide is absolutely beautiful. During my time here, I have made sure to explore as much as possible. I love visiting the stunning beaches, hiking in the mountains, and relaxing in the quiet city parks.
Living here has also completely changed my perspective on the world. Meeting people from so many different cultures made me realize that the things we see in videos online about other countries are not always correct. Living in a multicultural city like Adelaide has opened my mind and allowed me to make true friends from all over the world.
My Highlights at Native English College
Studying at Native English College has been the highlight of my time in Australia. This English language school in Adelaide doesn’t just teach you grammar rules; it teaches you real-life skills.
While taking my courses at NEC, I didn’t just improve my speaking and listening—I also learned valuable lessons in personal management, money management, and time management. The teachers go out of their way to prepare you for the real world, which is exactly what I needed.
My Goals for the Future
Currently, I work as a Project Manager. My immediate goal is to keep learning and polishing my English skills. In the future, I plan to use the business, language, and management skills I gained in Adelaide to open my own company. I want to build a highly successful career and live an excellent life.
